We’re building a platform to mobilize a global network of citizen scientists, allowing them to view, upload and collect novel scientific 3D-model NFT plant specimens on the blockchain in an immutable way. Our mission is to create a new era for open academic research and scientific education not limited by social, economical or geographic backgrounds while supporting local communities and environmental ecosystems through regenerative economics.

Currently, scientific plant specimens are 2D pressings stored physically in herbariums, restricting access for scientists and enthusiasts outside of that location. While these records are being digitised, they ultimately remain in their 2D form.

PlantGang however is using photogrammetry technology to create photorealistic 3D models, minted and stored on the blockchain, making them unalterable and immortal, unlike physical specimens. Additionally, unlike traditional 2D specimens, our models show details of morphology and colouration, capturing the plant specimen as it would be in its natural environment. 

We are looking for a senior fullstack developer that will help us to fulfill this mission (part of a 2-person team). We look for seniority in a work ethic and attitude more than years served. The project is complex and we need you to orient quickly and contribute from the beginning. 

Tech stack is javascript based and the architecture is still open for debate as the latest UX iterations are finalised. You need to understand the NFT ecosystem (at least Ethereum) from the developer perspective.
