Hello Backdrop community, wondering if anyone has had experience starting up their own metalabel? 

I am currently in the midst of forming a metalabel for virtual creators (i.e. creators with skills in worldbuilding, game design, creative tech etc) in Singapore with the purpose to create immersive art experiences and resources that help move the needle on creativity. 

One key difficulty that my team and I have been facing is the participation aspect: how do we manage that tension between that transactional nature of commercials and the more emotional bond that we strive to create in the community? And how can we make sure that as the community scales, the value distribution remains equitable? This is also further complicated because there will be an agency acting like an angel investor into the metalabel, which further raises questions on equity, and profit distribution. 

Would love to speak with anyone who’s interested in metalabels or individuals who have already gotten their metalabel up and running.
